Internal Audit Manager

With ongoing growth within the business, we are looking for an experienced Internal Audit Manager who thrives in a friendly, non-hierarchical, ‘consumer focused and customer driven’ high performance culture.

As Internal Audit Manager you will provide assurance, advice and anticipate risks within the Group Finance team while focusing on adding value to improve the operations of the group companies.

As Internal Audit Manager some of the responsibilities will include:

- Execute all audits in line with Hilton Foods GIAR approved audit methodology
- Complete audits in a timely manner to the agreed audit scope including audit working papers completed to a high standard
- Own the audit cycle of planning, fieldwork, reporting and following up on recommendations
- Communicate progress and issues identified which will enable the Group Head of Internal Audit & Risk to present and discuss these at the audit committee
- Work on special projects, as needed
- Consistently produce high quality audit findings and reports that take into account and show understanding of the processes involved and the context, both mitigate the risks identified and add value to the processes/control environment.
- Coach or work with Managers to fully understand the audit outcomes and plan next steps
- Ensure up to date knowledge on Internal Control Self-Assessment and Assurance Mapping processes

 

To succeed as Internal Audit Manager we ask that you have the following experience/expertise:

- Exceptional interpersonal skills

- Very strong emotional intelligence

- Good communication and verbal skills

- Desire and self-drive to learn quickly and develop within the role

- Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous assignments and tasks

- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office programs, knowledge and use of audit software would be useful

- Ability to work independently whilst being an active and key member of the audit team

- Professional accounting qualification e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, PIIA, MIIA, CIIA or equivalent

- Ideally 5 years internal audit experience including both financial and operational audits

- Excellent report writing skills

- Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills required

- Proven data analytical skills
